How to Participate
The Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences invites you to nominate important public health or healthcare accomplishments supported by behavioral and/or social science research, comment and vote on existing nominations, and share this effort with others.
You can view comments from others without registering on the site.
You will need to register to submit comments and to respond to comments submitted by others.
Once you register, you will receive an automatic email confirmation, which will include a link to confirm your account and set up your password. Be sure to check your spam folder for this email notification if you don’t see it in your inbox. The email address with which you set up your account will serve as your user name when logging in to the site. Please note, anonymous registrants may not receive updates about the campaign unless they subscribe to OBSSR's newsletter.
If you are a member of another IdeaScale community, you can log in via your current account and you will need to select the Join this Community for OBSSR in order to participate in this community.
Use the Search Comments box to find other comments that may be similar to yours. You can also use advanced search option (which pops up below the search bar once you click inside the search bar) to narrow your search criteria.
Vote on Comments Submitted by Others
You can ‘Vote Up’ your favorite comments by clicking the top arrow in the voting field.
Add to a Comment
See a comment you want to give feedback on? Add a comment by clicking on the Add Your Comment button above the submission.
Submit Your Own Comments
When you register for an IdeaScale account, you will be asked to enter an email address during registration that will be used for confirmation. Follow the link in the confirmation email to create your personal password and profile settings.
When you are ready to submit a comment, click the Submit Comment button on the top right of the page. You will need to give your comment a title and provide a brief summary of your thoughts.
Attachments to Your Comments
We request that you include at least one seminal peer-reviewed scientific article that supports your comment about an important public health and healthcare accomplishments that were made possible, in full or in part, as a result of behavioral and/or social sciences research. You can share a link to the article or upload an attachment to the PDF.
If you choose to upload a PDF, here are a few tips for uploading the attachment: To attach files to a comment, first submit the comment. Once the comment is submitted an "Attach a File" button is visible. Click on this button to upload attachments. Attachments are possible only on one's own comment and are limited to max file upload size to 25MB. Attachments will be publicly viewable so please ensure they don't contain any private information.
Receive Updates on Submissions
The system can automatically send you email notifications when someone replies to your comment. You can modify these notifications to get as many or as few messages as you choose.
